Turquoise, Green and Purple FOTD

This look happened about four days ago. I had just gotten my long awaited Urban Decay palettes, and once I got them, I had to play with them!
Turns out that purple shadow I am wearing minimal amounts of, makes my eyes hurt badly. I ended up falling asleep pretty early and before I removed my makeup, and I woke up at 3am wanting to die from the pain in my eyes. It is Frigid by Urban Decay.
I have always been highly allergic to purple eyeliner, but never had issues with purple eye shadows, until this one came along. I am sad too, because it is gorgeous.

Products:
I used Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Urban Decay Deluxe Palette
Urban Decay shadow in Frigid
Inglot Matte Gel Liner in #77
Face:
ELF Tinted Moisturizer in Almond
Coastal Scents Camouflage palette for concealing
Urban Decay Glide On Cheek Tint in Bang (amazing)

Slytherin Inspired

I did this one yesterday after getting some sucky news. I wanted to get my mind off things, and decided to play with glitter and a lot of green. A while back, I did a look with gold and red, and after that decided that I would do all four Harry Potter houses.
Here is my Slytherin look.

I used colors from a BH Cosmetics Eye Shadow Palette, glitter from Shany Cosmetics and my Inglot Gel Liner. On the face: MUFE HD Foundation. H&C: Coastal Scents Camouflage palette and Bare Minerals bronzer in Warmth. Finished it off with a few healthy coats of mascara (can't remember which, sorry) and ELF High Definition Powder.
I've never colored my brows like this, but I must say that I love it!

M.A.C Mineralize Foundation - Product Review

I purchased this little bottle of liquid gold about a week ago, and I must say I am in LOVE.
I went into MAC at my local Nordstrom, because I am like a bug when the light comes on... I just go toward the makeup the moment I step into a store.
I talked to a nice young lady, to whom I asked what was a good foundation for super dry, sensitive skin. She immediately pointed me to the Mineralize counter and we tried it on.
It makes my skin look great, nice and dewy without looking oily, and super healthy. I absolutely love it and would recommend it to anyone that has dry skin like mine.
It is a medium to full coverage.

1. NYX Above and Beyond Full Coverage Concealer in orange (to cover hyper pigmentation)
2. MAC Mineralize Foundation in NW35

Natural look

Today I opted for a more natural look, mainly because I was lazy, but mostly because I have a toddler running around that needs most of my attention :)

Products used:

Falsies mascara
Urban Decay Primer Potion all over the lid
Wet n' Wild lipstick in Sunset Peach

Harry Potter Series: Gryffindor

I started planning these looks a long time ago, but never got around to doing any of them. Here is the Gryffindor look that I came up with. It's pretty basic, but I absolutely adore the red and the gold together. Would definitely wear again.

FOTD: Black and purple smokey

I never do smokey eyes, because I felt that my skin was too dark for them. I tried one the other day and it turned out pretty well. I liked it a lot, so did my husband.

I need to try this look with other accent colors... maybe green! :)

FOTD: Pink, black and silver

I did this look a while back, but I really loved it.
I primed with Urban Decay Primer Potion.
Added pink all over the lid.
Black on the outer corner, and blended.
Silver on the bottom lash line and black eyeliner all over, followed by a couple healthy coats of mascara.

Until next time!

Battlestation!

I just put together my first battlestation. I normally did my makeup in the bathroom and since we live in a condo, the bathroom is not very big, so I made a mess and it stayed that way for days! Good things my husband is so good about it and doesn't give me any grief.
Here is what it turned out like:

This used to be my writing desk, but since it just sat in another room gathering dust, I painted it in Peacock Blue, and put it in our bedroom close to a window. I love it!

Until next time!
